A scientific seminar and CME titled “Role of Gabapentinoids in Neuropathic Pain Management” was held at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) yesterday, September 10, 2025, at the Professor Kamrul Islam Seminar Hall of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the university. The program was presided over by Professor Dr. M. A. Shakur, Chairman of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the university. Professor Dr. Md. Taslim Uddin, President, BSPMR was present as the chief guest. Associate Professor Dr. M. A. K. Azad, Secretary General, BSPMR was the special guest. The keynote address was presented by Dr. Md. Imamur Rashid, Associate Professor, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, BMU. The welcome address was delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Md. Tariqul Islam. The moderator will be Associate Professor Dr. Md. Nadim Kamal. The panel of experts included Professor Dr. AKM Salek, Professor Dr. Moniruzzaman Khan, Professor Dr. Syed Mozaffar Ahmed, Professor Dr. Ali Emran, Associate Professor Dr. Mohammad Golam Nabi Azad, Associate Professor Dr. Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury, Associate Professor Dr. Nadia Rahman. In addition, Tina Noor, Senior Product Manager of Renata PLC, presented a product presentation on gabapentinoids at the event. In a special part of the event, the new physiatrist (FCPS I MD) and newly promoted associate professors were felicitated. In addition, a video presentation was shown on departmental activities and the role of the department in treating the injured in July 2024. At the end of the event, the seminar activities ended with a vote of thanks and closing remarks with the participation of the guests and teachers present.
