MP exchanges views with primary teachers in Homna

Comilla-2 constituency MP Principal Md. Selim Bhuiyan exchanged views with teachers of a government primary school in Homna, Comilla. In the meeting held at the Upazila Hallroom on Wednesday, he emphasized on improving the quality of primary education and following a democratic process in the election of the leadership of the teachers’ organization.

The MP said in the meeting, “We must form a convening committee for the next six months to a year and complete the preparations for the election within this period. Later, the committee must be formed through fair elections. We must get out of the process of forming the committee without elections.”

He further said that primary education is the foundation for shaping a child’s future. He will stand by teachers to improve the quality of education, solve teachers’ problems, and ensure a learning-friendly environment.

Upazila Executive Officer Md. Jamal Hossain, Homna Police Station OC Thomas Barua, upazila and municipal BNP leaders, teacher leaders and administration officials were present at the meeting.
