Narsingdi Municipality conducts eviction drive of illegal shops in Narsingdi city, fines 11 people 

Narsingdi Municipality has conducted an eviction drive to make Narsingdi city free from traffic jams and suitable for the movement of the general public.   This drive was conducted from noon to afternoon today (October 20) at various important points in the city. During the drive, illegal shops and establishments built on both sides of the road from the Municipality intersection to the Bouyakur intersection and in the Narsingdi Sadar Hospital and Payra Chattar areas were demolished.   This eviction drive was led by Narsingdi Municipality Administrator Md. Narsingdi Municipality has conducted an eviction drive to make Narsingdi city free from traffic jams and suitable for the movement of the general public.

This drive was conducted from noon to afternoon today (October 20) at various important points in the city. This eviction drive was led by Narsingdi Municipality Administrator Md. Safi Ullah. The drive was attended by the Municipality’s Chief Executive Officer FM Naeem Hasan Shuvo, Municipal Executive Officer Mahfuzur Rahman, Assistant Engineer Shahjahan Mia and members of the law enforcement agencies.

This drive will continue in the public interest.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Municipality, FM Naeem Hasan Shuvo, fined 11 people under Section 108(7) of the Local Government and Municipality Act 2009 for illegally occupying roads and sidewalks. Municipal Administrator Md. Shafiullah was present at the time.
