Kamal Hossain, an office assistant at the Kotalipara Upazila Project Implementation Office in Gopalganj, suddenly fell ill while on duty. The incident occurred on Saturday morning (October 17) in his office. He was immediately admitted to the Kotalipara Upazila Health Complex. Upon learning of his illness, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Saif-ul-Arefin rushed to the hospital. He consulted with the attending physicians to inquire about Kamal Hossain’s condition and the medical care being provided. He also stated that arrangements would be made to transfer him to Dhaka for advanced medical treatment, if necessary.
Dr. M. M. Faruk Hossain, the Resident Medical Officer (RMO) at the Upazila Health Complex, expressed hope that Kamal Hossain would recover soon. It is believed that he lost consciousness due to work-related stress and physical weakness. Following initial treatment, several medical tests were conducted; further decisions regarding his ongoing care will be made once the test results are available.
