Nandigram Upazila Jubo Dal has assured members of the Hindu community of security and cooperation at Durga Puja and other religious festival venues, while conducting public outreach and visiting temple areas across the upazila.

On Monday, Nandigram Upazila Press Club President and Jubo Dal organiser Abdur Rouf Rubel met leaders of the Shri Shri Kalimata Temple Development and Preservation Committee in Hatkaroi area of Nandigram. During the meeting, he urged members of Hindu community to celebrate their religious festivals without fear and in a festive atmosphere. Rubel, held an open exchange of views with members of the Hindu community to discuss security arrangements and preparations for religious festivities.

Jubo Dal activists will remain vigilant at every Puja mandap, serving as sleepless sentinels. We are alert at all times and ready to provide all-out cooperation, Rubel said. He added that security for Hindu community would be ensured in line with directives of BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and guidance of Mosharaf Hossain, a member of parliament Bogura-4 constituency. Jubo Dal activists will stand as a vanguard for people. We will stand beside one another and remain united, he said. Earlier, on Sunday, Rubel conducted public outreach activities at various markets across the upazila. He also held discussions with people from different walks of life on government’s development initiatives and broader plans for national progress. Among those present were Upazila Jubo Dal leaders Abdul Mannan, Samiur Rahman Tushar, Kamal Hossain, Robiul Islam, Golap Hossain, Badsha Mia and Alamgir Hossain, along with Al Amin and others.
