Didar Daria, Joint Convener of the Kotalipara Upazila Jubo Dal in Gopalganj, has been expelled from the party—including the revocation of his primary membership—following allegations that he used muscle power to assault and injure Abu Hanifa, the Joint General Secretary of the Hiron Union Jubo Dal. The central Jubo Dal announced this decision on Wednesday (October 7).
A press release signed by Minhajul Islam Bhuiyan, Joint General Secretary (in charge of the office) of the central Jubo Dal, stated that Didar Daria was expelled in light of the allegations raised against him. The expulsion order was implemented based on the decision of central Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna and General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan MP.
The release further stated that the party would not bear responsibility for any misconduct committed by the expelled Didar Daria. Leaders and activists at all levels of the Jubo Dal have been instructed not to maintain any organizational ties with him. Simultaneously, the central Jubo Dal has urged law enforcement agencies to take necessary legal action regarding the allegations against Didar Daria.
Mannan Sheikh, Member Secretary of the Kotalipara Upazila Jubo Dal, said, “There is no place in the Jubo Dal for anyone involved in breaching party discipline.” He added that they fully support the central Jubo Dal’s decision to uphold the organization’s discipline and reputation.
However, Didar Daria denied the allegations regarding his expulsion, stating, “A scuffle broke out between Abu Hanifa and some individuals due to provocative comments and posts on social media. I was expelled without the full incident being understood.” He claimed that organizational action was taken against him without considering the actual circumstances of the event.
