Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s political assistant Md. Rashed Khan has spoken to the education minister regarding the appointment of Mission Acharya, a former student of Islamic University (IB), who was finally recommended for the post of assistant teacher in a government primary school but did not receive an appointment letter due to not having a permanent residence at his address. He said that the matter will be resolved soon.
Rashed Khan gave this information in a video message on his verified Facebook ID on Saturday (October 3) morning. Earlier, on Friday (October 2) night, he also announced that he would take initiative to appoint Mission Acharya.
Mission Acharya (30) lives in a rented house with his family in Kalabagan area of Jhenaidah city. His mother, Moyna Acharya, works as a housemaid and educates him. Mission, a student of the Department of Finance and Banking of Islamic University in the 2013-14 academic year, took part in the recruitment test for the post of assistant teacher in a government primary school after completing his graduation and post-graduation. Although he was finally recommended, he complained that he did not receive an appointment letter as he did not have a permanent address in his name.
Mission Acharya said that although he has been living in the Kalabagan area of Jhenaidah since birth, he does not have any permanent address in his name. Since his father left the family many years ago, he has been living in a rented house with his mother. He contacted various departments regarding the issue of not receiving an appointment letter due to complications related to his permanent address.
Posting Mission Acharya’s photo on Facebook, Rashed Khan wrote, “I spoke to the Education Minister a while ago. The matter will be resolved quickly and he will get a job soon. Since the younger brother who is looking for a job is from my area, many people from Jhenaidah informed me about the matter, I am very grateful to them.”
