Sheikh Faridul Islam, MP, State Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change and State Minister responsible for supervising and coordinating law and order and development activities in Jessore district, exchanged views with concerned officials on the law and order situation, education, healthcare, employment and overall development activities in Jessore district.
The meeting was held at the meeting room ‘Amitakshar’ of the Jessore Deputy Commissioner’s office on Monday (September 21). Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ashek Hasan presided over the meeting.
State Minister Sheikh Faridul Islam said at the meeting that if everyone sincerely provides accurate information and data from their respective positions, it will be easier for the administration to make decisions and implement them. He also highlighted the importance of accurate information for effective decision-making.
He said, the current government is working to ensure transparency, accountability and acceptability in every field. A mindset of change has also been created within the administration. If everyone works responsibly, significant progress is possible in Jessore’s law and order, education, healthcare, employment and people’s livelihood.
The State Minister further said that after assuming office, he has spoken to the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of the districts under his responsibility, including Jessore. He is working to resolve the problems of various districts by collecting information about them.
The meeting discussed various development activities including law and order situation in Jessore, drug control, dengue control, health and education system. The opinions of the concerned officials were also sought on the ongoing problems and prospects at the upazila level.
Sabira Nazmul Munni, MP for the reserved women’s seat, Jessore Superintendent of Police Syed Rafiqul Islam, District Council Administrator Delwar Hossain Khokon, District BNP President Advocate Syed Sabirul Haque Sabu, Jessore Chamber of Commerce President Mizanur Rahman Khan, along with executive officers of eight upazilas of the district, officers-in-charge of police stations and officials from various levels related to law and order were present at the meeting.
