Leaders and activists of the Upazila and Municipal units of the BNP and its affiliated organizations held a protest procession in Kotalipara, Gopalganj, to protest against terrorism and anarchy.
On Monday (September 21) afternoon, the procession—joined by party leaders and activists—started from the Shilpakala Academy premises. After parading through various roads in the Kotalipara municipal area, it concluded with a brief rally at the Shilpakala premises.
Participants chanted slogans protesting against terrorism, anarchy, and repression. A large number of leaders and activists from the BNP and its affiliated organizations took part in the event.
At the rally following the procession, senior leaders—including Upazila BNP President SM Mohiuddin, General Secretary Abul Bashar Howlader, Municipal BNP President Yusuf Ali Daria, and General Secretary Oliur Rahman Howlader—delivered speeches.
The speakers stated that the public must unite against the terrorism and anarchy prevailing in the country. They demanded the assurance of democratic rights and public safety.
They further asserted that the people’s voices cannot be stifled through intimidation or political pressure. They also affirmed their commitment to continuing protests against these activities through peaceful and democratic programs on the streets.
