Mohammad Mozammel Haque, Superintendent of Police, Rangpur, presented the championship trophy to the champion team, Taraganj Police Station, at the Rangpur Police Line School and College ground. It is worth noting that the 1st Community Police Kabaddi Championship-2026 started on September 20, 2026 at the Rangpur Police Line School and College ground, organized by the Rangpur District Police, with the slogan “Let’s give up drugs, eradicate juvenile gangs, and build a crime-free society.”
The Superintendent of Police said, “Kabaddi is closely related to our national game and the tradition of rural Bengal. There is no alternative to sports to keep the young generation away from drugs. The youth is one of the biggest strengths of our country. If we can keep them involved in sports, culture and creative activities, it is possible to keep them away from drugs, gambling and crime.”
Teams from 8 police stations of Rangpur district are participating in the championship. The competition was organized by Rangpur District Police with the aim of involving the young generation in sports, keeping them away from drugs and crime, and increasing mutual trust, camaraderie and harmony between the police and the public. Steadfast Courier Service sponsored this kabaddi competition. Rezwan Rony, Manager (Customer Service) of the company, was present on behalf of the company.
