Among others, Superintendent of Police Md. Farhad Hossain Khan delivered a speech. Also present at the event
were Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) ABM Faizul Islam, Additional Superintendent of Police
(Saidpur Circle) AKM Wahidunnabi, District Sports Officer Md. Abul Hashem, and Officer-in-Charge Md. Zillur
Rahman, among others. According to the organizers, four men's teams and four women's teams from Nilphamari
district participated in this competition for under-20 players. In the final matches, the Nilphamari Sadar Thana
team emerged as champions and the Saidpur Thana team as runners-up in the men's category, while the
Nilphamari Sadar Thana team won the title and the Jaldhaka team finished as runners-up in the women's category.
In the boys' category, the awards went to Jibon Rishi (Nilphamari Sadar) as 'Man of the Final', Himel Islam (Saidpur)
as 'Best Catcher', and Moni Kumar (Nilphamari Sadar) as 'Best Player'. In the girls' category, the recipients were
Sujata Roy (Jaldhaka) as 'Woman of the Final', Sohana Akter (Nilphamari Sadar) as 'Best Catcher', and Ranjana Rani
Roy (Nilphamari Sadar) as 'Best Player'. Finally, medals and trophies were awarded to the players of the winning
and runner-up teams. The Nilphamari Community Policing Committee organized this competition with the aim of
engaging the younger generation in sports, keeping them away from drugs and crime, and fostering mutual trust,
goodwill, and harmony between the police and the public. Teams were formed for the competition by selecting
talented, energetic, and promising under-20 players from various parts of the district. In addition to the proper
registration of selected players, their performance is evaluated after every match using a designated assessment
form.
