A team of students from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) is participating in the 'Bangladesh Innovation Fair-2026'. The Ministry of Science and Technology has organized this three-day innovation fair at the Novotheater in the capital from Saturday (September 12). A team of students from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) is participating in the ‘Bangladesh Innovation Fair-2026’. The Ministry of Science and Technology has organized this three-day innovation fair at the Novotheater in the capital from Saturday (September 12). Meanwhile , Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. SM Abdur Razzak attended the inauguration of the fair to encourage the students. During this time, he inspected the stalls of the students.
Organized under the theme ‘Innovate to Market’, the main objective of this fair is to bring the country’s universities, research institutions, innovators, industry, investors and relevant stakeholders on the same platform and link research and innovation with practical application and marketing. Through this, it will create an opportunity for young innovators to market their creative ideas and effectively utilize them for the economic and technological development of the country.
A total of 7 teams of RUET students are participating in this year’s fair to showcase their innovative ideas and projects in two stalls (stalls 68 and 69). The teams are supervised by RUET’s Director of Student Welfare, Professor Dr. Rabiul Islam Sarkar, and Assistant Director Abu Ismail Siddiqui.
The active participation of RUET students in this national-level event will showcase the university’s innovation, technology, and research-based activities on a larger scale. At the same time, it is expected to create opportunities to connect students’ innovative thinking, problem-solving abilities, and technology-based initiatives with the industry and investment sectors.
The fair will showcase prototypes and posters of various technologies and projects invented by RUET students. Visitors, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and relevant stakeholders will have the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the innovative projects of RUET students.
Those concerned have expressed hope that this participation of RUET students will not only develop their innovative skills, but will also play an important role in further strengthening research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry-academia connections at the university.
Various government and private universities, research institutes, banks, corporates and other technology-related organizations of the country will participate in this three-day fair. In addition to showcasing innovative projects, various plenary and parallel sessions, roundtable meetings and dialogues will be held at the fair.
