The 48th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was celebrated in Kushtia through various programs. On the occasion of the day, a colorful procession and rally was held in the city with the participation of leaders and workers of Kushtia district BNP and its various affiliate organizations. Today, Tuesday (September 1), at 11 am, a huge procession was taken out from the ‘Bijoy Ullas Chattar’ of Kushtia Municipality. The procession circled the main road of the city, NS Road, and ended at the Barabazar Railgate area. Leaders and workers of the party from all walks of life, carrying banners, festoons and party flags, participated in it. Earlier, a short political rally was held at the Bijoy Ullas Chattar of Kushtia Municipality. Top leaders of Kushtia district BNP spoke at the rally and called for unity in achieving the rights of the masses in the coming days, maintaining the founding goals and ideals of the party.
The rally was presided over by Kushtia District BNP convener Qutub Uddin Ahmed.
Former Kushtia District BNP President and former MP Syed Mehedi Ahmed Rumi addressed the rally as the chief guest.

Murad Hossain and general secretary Zahidul Islam Biplob, former president of Kushtia district Chhatra Dal Mahfuzur Rahman Mithun and other leaders of BNP affiliates were present.
Speakers at the rally said that BNP has always been on the streets to restore the country’s democracy and protect the people’s voting rights and will continue to be in the future. On this day of its founding anniversary, the party’s top leaders pledged to make Kushtia District BNP and its affiliate organizations stronger and better organized.
