A cultural competition and award distribution ceremony was held in Thakurgaon to mark the Nazrul Year celebration on the 127th birth anniversary of the rebel poet Kazi Nazrul. The program, organized by Tarunya Academy Thakurgaon, was held on Monday night at the modern hall of Thakurgaon Press Club. A cultural competition and award distribution ceremony was held in Thakurgaon to mark the Nazrul Year celebration on the 127th birth anniversary of the rebel poet Kazi Nazrul.
The program, organized by Tarunya Academy Thakurgaon, was held on Monday night at the modern hall of Thakurgaon Press Club.
The program was presided over by Tarunya Academy Director Preeti Ganguly and was attended by District BNP President and President Mirza Fakhrul’s younger brother Mirza Faisal Amin as the chief guest. Thakurgaon Municipal BNP President Shariful Islam Sharif, District Cultural Officer Alamgir Kabir, and Thakurgaon Press Club President Lutfor Rahman Mithu as special guests. Children and their parents who participated in various competitions including dance, singing, rhymes, abriti, and painting were present at the event.
Later, the guests presented prizes to the winners of various competition events.
