Recently, various local problems and directions for their solutions were raised in the opinion exchange meetings and inspections organized at important points including wards 4, 5 and 6 of the municipality. The day’s activities began with an urgent opinion exchange meeting with the local people at the hospital intersection of ward 5 in the morning. In the meeting, the general public raised various problems including roads, drainage system, drug eradication and development of religious institutions. The MP listened attentively to these and strongly assured of quick solutions. In continuation of this, he visited various places in the municipality to see the overall situation of drainage, waterlogging and waste management to prevent dengue, malaria and other diseases. At that time, Paikgachha Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ahsanara Binte Ahmed and Municipality Secretary Md. Lalu Sardar were present with him. During the inspection, the MP visited the hospital area and the adjacent mosque and gave specific instructions to the concerned to spend the money allocated for the development of the mosque properly. He also visited the municipal market and spoke to the traders of the fish, vegetable and meat markets. He gave urgent instructions to the municipal authorities to keep the market clean, dispose of garbage in specific places and maintain overall cleanliness. He also inspected the potential site for the construction of a mosque and modern toilets in the important zero point area of ​​the municipal city to alleviate the long-standing suffering of commuters.
Also present at the said inspection and exchange of views meeting were Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Khulna District Working Committee member and Paikgachha Upazila Chairman candidate Maulana Aminul Islam, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s nominated mayoral candidate of Paikgachha Municipality Advocate Mortaza Zaman Alamgir Rulu, local political leaders, representatives of the municipality, dignitaries and the general public.
