A rally of potential chairman candidate Md. Sajjadul Bari Dulal for the Union Parishad election was held at the initiative of BNP in Ward No. 8 of Jindarpur Union No. 2 of Kalai Upazila of Joypurhat. The rally was held at 3 pm in the Maheshpur area of Jindarpur Union. BNP leaders and activists from Maheshpur, Bishnupur and Nanahar villages participated in it. Kalai Upazila BNP convening committee member, Jindarpur Union BNP convening committee member and chairman candidate Md. Sajjadul Bari Dulal were the chief guests at the rally. Alhaj Abul Kalam presided over the event, Md. Emdadul Haque Raju and Md. Saidur Rahman moderated the event, and Jindarpur Union BNP convener and former chairman Md. Yakub Ali Fakir delivered the keynote address. Jindarpur Union BNP joint convener Md. Mofakhairul Islam Ratan Chowdhury and Zia Parishad, Kalai Upazila branch president and headmaster Md. Mosaddek Hossain. Ward No. 8 BNP general secretary Saidul Islam, Md. Fateul Islam Chowdhury, Badal, Nayan and other local leaders and activists also spoke at the event. In his speech as the chief guest, Md. Sajjadul Bari Dulal said that politics does not mean just seizing power, serving the common people and being by their side in their happiness and sorrow is real politics. If elected as chairman, he promised to control drugs in the area, develop various infrastructure including roads and work for the welfare of the common people.
Speakers at the rally called on leaders and activists to strengthen party activities in unity. Later, the leaders and activists chanted various party slogans and expressed their determination to further strengthen the organization.
