This has become a health risk for hundreds of women in the upazila. With the permission of the Ministry of Health, he is currently working as an anesthesia (anesthesia) doctor in the Rajshahi Mother and Child Welfare Center Emergency Service Department. But he is withdrawing his salary and allowance every month from the Puthia Upazila Family Planning Office. Due to him, the men and women of the area are not getting any benefit in terms of family planning health services. According to a source, since he is holding his upazila post, the district level officer is not able to appoint a doctor in his place. Many doctors in this upazila are eager to work in the family planning office. Meanwhile, although there is a provision for 33 family planning assistants in the upazila, there are currently only 15. No opinion exchange meeting has been held in the rural areas on any birth control issue in the upazila for three months. For a long time, women in the rural areas have been living with birth control devices on their bodies because doctors are not coming. An employee who did not want to be named said that more than two hundred women like Rehena Begum, Shiuli Khatun, Shapla Khatun, Tamnim Khatun, and Aleya Begum are still carrying their birth control devices on their bodies even after their expiration date. Women in the rural areas are constantly coming to the office and contacting us to remove the birth control devices from their bodies. But we have no way out. This device cannot be removed from a woman’s body without a doctor. If a family planning doctor is permanently appointed, this problem will be solved quickly.
