The Department of Fire Service and Civil Defense has provided training on fire safety to members of the Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB). The training was inaugurated by Brigadier General Muhammad Zahed Kamal, ndc, AFWC, psc, Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defense, as the chief guest on August 2. The training was organized at the conference room of the Fire Service headquarters on August 2 and 3. 48 CRAB reporters participated in the training. The training provided hands-on training to participants on firefighting, emergency rescue procedures, first aid, earthquake management, and personal safety of journalists while gathering news. Among others present at the inauguration ceremony were Fire Service Director (Training, Planning and Development) Lt. Col. MA Azad Anwar, PSC; Dhaka Division Deputy Director Mr. Md. Saleh Uddin, BFM (Bar), Assistant Director (Training) Md. Mostafa Mohsin, BFM; CRAB General Secretary MM Badsha, among others. Director (Training) of the department, Lt. Col. MA Azad Anwar, PSC, was present at the closing ceremony on August 3 and handed over certificates to everyone.
