According to the latest Bangladesh Bank data, expatriates sent $2.17 billion in remittances during July 1–22, 2026, up from $1.759 billion received during the corresponding period of July 2025.

The sustained growth in remittance inflows is expected to support the country’s foreign exchange reserves, strengthen external sector stability, and help meet the domestic demand for foreign currency.
