A 7-member ad hoc committee of Narsingdi District Sports Association has been formed in accordance with the laws and rules approved by the Chairman of the concerned Sports Ministry. The ex-officio Deputy Commissioner (DC) President and Narsingdi District BNP Vice President Sports Organizer Akbar Hossain has been nominated as the member secretary of the committee. Narsingdi Police Superintendent and Additional Deputy Commissioner General and Deputy Director Social Service Officer and District Sports Officer Narsingdi and sportsperson Alid Khan have been made members.
The formation of this committee was announced through a notification signed by the office of the concerned department on July 16.
The new committee will work to manage the daily activities of the District Sports Association and form a full-fledged committee by organizing a fair and impartial election. It is learnt that this ad hoc committee has been formed to boost the sports arena.
The notification further states that this committee will function until further orders and will take necessary measures to complete the election of the district sports organization within the stipulated time.
The sports people of the district are hoping that through the new ad hoc committee, new momentum will return to the sports sector of Narsingdi district and it will play a positive role in developing young players.
