Police have recovered the bloody body of an RFL company employee named Bishwajit Deuri (25) in Paikgachha, Khulna. The deceased Bishwajit was working as a sales representative (SR) at the Paikgachha branch of RFL. Police have recovered the bloody body of an RFL company employee named Bishwajit Deuri (25) in Paikgachha, Khulna. The deceased Bishwajit was working as a sales representative (SR) at the Paikgachha branch of RFL. Since the incident, his colleague and roommate Antar Sarkar (23) has been missing along with the used motorcycle.
According to police and local sources, they are renting a room on the ground floor of a two-storey house in Ram Prasad Mandal in the Hospital Road area of Ward No. 5 of the municipality. Biswajit Deuri, son of Hiralal Deuri of Betra village in Jhalakathi Sadar, and Antar Sarkar (23), son of Liton Sarkar of Lakshmipur Phansiatola village in Kalkini upazila of Madaripur, have been living together for the past two months. The accused Antar Sarkar works as an assistant technician at RFL.
On Monday (July 20) at around 9:40 pm, the two had breakfast at a local shop. Later, on Tuesday (July 21), the mobile phones of both of them were found switched off until 1 pm. Suspicious of this, their colleague Nayan Roy (26) went to the house at one stage of the search. When he went there, he saw blood and a blood-stained knife lying in front of the door of the house and immediately informed the Paikgachha police station.
Upon receiving the news, Paikgachha Circle Assistant Superintendent of Police Mr. Amir Hamza and Police Inspector (Operations) Zulfikar Ali along with their accompanying force quickly reached the spot. As the room was locked from outside, the police broke the lock and entered inside and saw Biswajit Deuri’s bloody body lying on the floor.
It is initially believed that Biswajit was killed sometime between 10 pm on Monday and 1 pm on Tuesday due to a previous enmity or internal dispute. After the murder, his colleague Antar Sarkar left the body inside the house and fled on a motorcycle, locking it from outside.
Confirming the incident, Paikgachha police said that the body will be sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital for autopsy after the post-mortem report is prepared. Multiple police teams are working to uncover the real cause of the incident and arrest the absconding accused Antar Sarkar, and intelligence surveillance has been strengthened.
