Notorious robber arrested in Mohammadpur: Accused in dozens of cases in various police stations including Faridpur
Magura's Mohammadpur Police Station has arrested a professional robber and armed criminal named Md. Ripon Fakir (28) in a raid. He was arrested late on Tuesday night. The arrested Ripon Fakir is the son of Md. Keramat Fakir of Bangrail (Barai Khola) village of Saltha Police Station in Faridpur district. According to police sources, Ripon Fakir was arrested while conducting a raid in the Mohammadpur Bazar area during the investigation of a case (No. 4, Section 457/380 Penal Code) filed at Mohammadpur Police Station. Magura’s Mohammadpur Police Station has arrested a professional robber and armed criminal named Md. Ripon Fakir (28) in a raid. He was arrested late on Tuesday night. The arrested Ripon Fakir is the son of Md. Keramat Fakir of Bangrail (Barai Khola) village of Saltha Police Station in Faridpur district.
According to police sources, Ripon Fakir was arrested while conducting a raid in the Mohammadpur Bazar area during the investigation of a case (No. 4, Section 457/380 Penal Code) filed at Mohammadpur Police Station.
At one point during the interrogation, the police learned that Ripon Fakir is a notorious criminal. He has at least a dozen cases against him, including robbery, theft and weapons, in various police stations in Faridpur, Boalmari and Magura.
Police said that information has been received about at least 7 cases against the arrested accused in Faridpur Kotwali Police Station, Saltha Police Station and various police stations in Magura. Chargesheets have been filed against him in some of these cases and some cases are under investigation.
Officer-in-charge of Mohammadpur Police Station M. Shamim Ahmed said that the arrested accused is a professional robber and has multiple cases against him in various police stations across the country.
