On Wednesday afternoon, more than a hundred AI technicians from Thakurgaon, Panchagarh and Dinajpur districts participated in a sit-in in front of the district artificial insemination center, demanding permanent employment or inclusion in daily attendance.
At the time, the speakers said that for 30 years, 5,272 AI technicians have been working without pay for the development of cattle breeds at the field level across the country. Although the government has promised to make the jobs permanent at various times, it has not been implemented. Technicians across the country have been on an indefinite strike since July 1st on a one-point demand. The speakers said in the sit-in strike that the strike will continue until a notification is issued to implement the one-point demand.
