The Prime Minister formally inaugurated ‘Nazrul Barsho’ simultaneously across the country as the chief guest at a program organized by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs at the Secretariat on Thursday (July 2) morning. On this occasion, the program organized at the Rajshahi District Shilpakala Academy was attended by Honorable Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) of Rajshahi Rezaul Alam Sarkar, Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner Kazi Shahidul Islam, Rajshahi District Council Administrator Ershad Ali Isha, District Police Superintendent Mohammad Naimul Hasan, among others.

Senior officials of Rajshahi’s local administration, prominent cultural figures, dignitaries, and students from various educational institutions were present at the event.

It is worth noting that on May 25, at the 127th birth anniversary celebration of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam in Trishal, Mymensingh, the Prime Minister declared a one-year Nazrul Year from May 25 this year to May 25, 2027.
