The Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police has unraveled the mystery of a sensational clueless robbery case in Belpukur police station area of ​​Rajshahi metropolis. Two accused, including the mastermind involved in the incident, have been arrested. The arrested accused are – Md. Abdur Rahman Dablu (36), son of the deceased Salauddin of Sapura village of Boalia police station, and Abu Sadat Md. Sayem alias Milon (48), son of the deceased Hasan of Mirzapur village of Motihar police station, currently of Kadirganj village of Boalia police station. Both of them are residents of Rajshahi metropolis. Investigation into the case revealed that on April 14, 2026, at around 10 am, Pabna Dairy Farm employee Md. Masud Rana came from Pabna to Sapura Sales Center in Rajshahi with 2,000 liters of chilled liquid milk. After unloading the milk, the center manager from the Rajshahi center gave him Tk 1,65,600 to deposit at the head office. Later, he left the money behind the driver’s seat of the lorry and left for Pabna.
When he reached the North Kazirpara area of ​​Belpukur police station at around 2:30 pm, unknown miscreants came from behind on an unregistered blue motorcycle and barricaded the lorry. At one stage, they broke the window glass of the lorry, held a sharp weapon to the driver’s neck and threatened him, and snatched Tk 1,65,600 kept inside the lorry and quickly left the scene. After the incident, a case was registered at Belpukur Police Station, under the supervision of the Deputy Police Commissioner (DB) and Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (DB) under the direction of the Police Commissioner, RMP, a smart team of DB started a shadow investigation. Based on the help of information technology, intelligence information and secret information, the investigators were able to unravel the mystery of the incident and identify the involved parties.
Later, when the case was handed over to DB, a special team of DB conducted an operation and arrested the mastermind of the robbery, Md. Abdur Rahman Dablu, and Abu Sadat Md. Sayem alias Milon, who was directly involved in the incident. 26 thousand taka of stolen cash was recovered from the arrested mastermind, Abdur Rahman Dablu, and a pistol-like object used during the robbery and 7 thousand taka of cash was recovered from Abu Sadat Md. Sayem alias Milon. The total amount of money recovered was 33 thousand taka. In addition, 2 used mobile phones were seized from them.
The arrested accused are currently in DB custody. The operation to recover the remaining looted money is ongoing.
