Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC Noakhali Zone has launched the “Entrepreneurship Development Program” for the country’s promising SME entrepreneurs on Monday, June 8′ 2026. The month-long training program was launched under the supervision of the SME and Special Programs Department (SME & SPD) of Bangladesh Bank under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP) of the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank Md. Mahbubur Rahman was present as the chief guest at the event. Executive Vice President and Noakhali Zone Head of Islami Bank Md. Anwar Hossain delivered the welcome speech under the chairmanship of Senior Executive Vice President and SME Head of Islami Bank Abu Sayeed Md. Idris. Deputy Program Director (SICIP) and Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank Mohammad Wasim gave a brief description of the training program. The workshop will provide training to new entrepreneurs to develop important skills related to business management, financial management, marketing, recordkeeping, innovation and digital business management. 25 entrepreneurs selected from Noakhali, Feni and Lakshmipur districts participated in the training.
