A teenager died after being electrocuted while trying to bring a baby pigeon down from an electric pole in Rajshahi. The deceased teenager has been identified as Sajjad (14). The deceased Sajjad’s father’s name is Saju. Their home is in Gobindaganj Upazila of Gaibandha. Currently, they lived in a rented house behind the mosque in Bandhage in the Greater Road area of ​​Rajpara Police Station.

Fire Service sources said that a team of them reached the spot after receiving information about the incident around 10:45 am. The teenager was then electrocuted by hanging from an electric pole wire and a nearby house.

Later, fire service personnel, with the help of the electricity department, rescued him and took him to Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) Hospital. There, the doctor on duty at the emergency department declared him dead at around 11:30 am.

Police said the body is currently kept in the RMC Hospital’s cold storage. The body will be handed over to the family after completing the necessary legal procedures.
