An awareness rally has been held at the initiative of the Narsingdi District Administration to raise public awareness about combating the dengue outbreak.

The rally started in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Thursday, June 5, 2026 and circled various roads of the city. District administration officials, police, health department representatives, public representatives and people from different classes and professions participated in the rally.

The district administration informed that the main objective of this rally is to destroy the breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes, clean the stagnant water around the house and make the people aware of going to the hospital quickly if they experience dengue symptoms.

The organizers said that along with the government, the people must be active in preventing dengue. Everyone is urged to take care that there is no stagnant water inside or outside the house.

After the rally, a brief discussion meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office.  It highlights things to do to prevent dengue.
