A human chain has been held in Naogaon city demanding to ensure safe roads and control long-distance bus movement. A human chain has been held in Naogaon city demanding to ensure safe roads and control long-distance bus movement. The human chain was organized at 12 noon on Wednesday in front of the Muktir Mor Municipality by the initiative of conscious citizens of the district.

The human chain was presided over by District NCP Joint Convener Dewan Mahabub Hasan Sohag. The President of the District Anti-Drug Social Movement, Master Md. Hafizur Rahman, Organizer of Naogaon District Nagorik Unnayan Sangram Parishad, Alimul Reza Rana, Vice-President of Niraap Sarak Chai (NISCHA) Naogaon District Branch, Golam Mostafa Mukit, and General Secretary Abul Kalam Azad, spoke at the event.

The speakers said that public life has become risky due to the movement of high-speed long-distance buses within Naogaon city for a long time. Despite the constant occurrence of minor and major road accidents, effective action is not taken against the responsible drivers in many cases.

They demanded that the Dhaka bus stand in Naogaon be moved from the city to a suitable location outside the city as soon as possible. At the same time, they sought urgent intervention from the concerned authorities to ensure safe roads by controlling the movement of heavy and long-distance vehicles within the city.#
