Therefore, young doctors must be compassionate and have humane qualities to ensure medical services to the neglected and common people of the country.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the students’ Eid reunion, fresher reception, meritorious student reception and discussion meeting organized by the Jessore Medical College Student Association on Sunday (May 31).
Referring to the progress of the 500-bed modern hospital of Jessore Medical College, the State Minister said, the government is determined to fulfill the long-standing dream of the people of Jessore. The wheels of the health sector of this region, which had been stagnant for the past 17 years, have been set in motion during the tenure of the current government.
We have taken effective steps to quickly implement the construction of a 500-bed fully modern hospital at Jessore Medical College, which will ensure medical services for the general public in this region and pave the way for quality practical education for medical students.
Addressing the new students, State Minister Amit said, “You have got the opportunity to study here today by leaving a mark of merit through highly competitive examinations.”
You don’t just have to be a doctor with a good degree, you also have to be a good person with a sense of responsibility towards the country and society.
Teachers need to be shown due respect and constantly improve their skills.
The event, chaired by DAB Jessore District Branch Advisor Dr. Mejbaur Rahman and moderated by DAB Khulna Divisional Assistant Secretary Dr. Rabiul Islam Tuhin, was attended by special guests and guests of honor, including District BNP President Advocate Sayed Saberul Haque Sabu, General Secretary and District Council Administrator Delwar Hossain Khokon, Professor of Jessore Medical College Dr. Abu Hasanat Ahsan Habib, and Superintendent of Jessore General Hospital Dr. Hussain Shafayat.
