To further strengthen the bond of memory, friendship and love, a joyful Eid reunion was organized by the 1997 batch of Borail Hossainia High School in Nabinagar Upazila of Brahmanbaria. In this program organized on Sunday (May 31) afternoon, the former students of the 1997 batch met under one roof after a long time. The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Later, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the deceased classmates and special prayers were held to pray for the forgiveness of their souls. According to the information provided by the organizers, the eight classmates of the 1997 batch who have already passed away are – Sanaullah, Rashida Begum, Nizamul Haque, Harunur Rashid, Mukarram Hossain, Baijid, Sabina Akhter and Rezaul Haque Bulu. An emotional atmosphere was created at the program in their memory.

Later, various events including guest reception, welcome speeches, exchange of views with classmates, reminiscences, lunch, raffle draw and cultural programs were held. After many years, classmates came together to reminisce about their school life and exchange information with each other.

Former students participating in the program said, “The 1997 batch of Borail Hossainia High School is not just the name of an academic year, it is a symbol of friendship, love, unity and lifelong relationships.” They also said that the batch members currently residing in different parts of the country and abroad got the opportunity to come together again through this reunion. To make the program a success, the batch members including Yusuf Banker, Zahir, Rashid, Nasir, Rimon, Jahangir, Surma, Laila, Lipi, Shanta, Pushpa, Rohan, Mozammel, Sumon, Ali Imam and Moazzem cooperated in every way. The organizing committee informed that the program was successfully completed with the sincere cooperation and spontaneous participation of everyone. They expressed their determination to continue organizing such reunions in the future. In addition to the former students, their family members were also present at the program. At the end of the day-long reunion held in a joyful atmosphere, prayers were offered for everyone’s happiness, prosperity and good health.
