A brutal theft has taken place at the rented house of District and Sessions Judge Syed Amina Farhin of the Child Abuse Prevention Tribunal in Brahmanbaria. The incident took place early Saturday morning in a flat on the second floor of Titas Twin Towers in the Moulvipara area of ​​the district town. It is learnt that the judge was staying at his house during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays with the flat locked. Taking advantage of this, a group of thieves broke the rear grill of the building, climbed to the second floor and broke the lock of the flat and entered inside. Later, they broke the cupboards and took away valuables and other items. Ratan Mia, the caretaker of the building, said that the police were informed when the incident came to light in the morning. Later, the police visited the spot and started an investigation. Brahmanbaria Sadar Circle Additional Superintendent of Police MM Rakib Ur Raja said that the theft took place while the judge was on leave. The exact amount of stolen goods is not yet known as the owner of the flat is absent.

In this regard, Brahmanbaria Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahidul Islam said, “A regular case has been filed regarding the incident. The process of identifying the thieves by collecting CCTV footage is underway. The police are working to arrest those involved.”
