From mills to factories to agricultural work and homes, electricity is needed every day. He said uninterrupted power supply depends on the supply of national grid. MP Abul Kalam Azad also said that in order to strengthen the rural economy along with increasing agricultural production, there is a need to maintain normal electricity supply in rural areas. For this reason, as it is necessary to increase the production of electricity, we all have to come forward to prevent and save electricity wastage. Load-shedding has come down to a great extent now compared to earlier times. However, if there is a fault somewhere due to the distance line, the power supply is interrupted. He said that after 2027 there will be no problem of electricity in Paikgacha Koira constituency. Construction of power grid at Paikgacha is under tender process and there are plans to set up a substation at Koira. It is hoped that if these are implemented by 2027, uninterrupted power supply will be ensured.
He said these things during the inspection of 20/28 MVA capacity substation of Paikgacha Upazila Sadar under 33/11 KV on June 1 and exchange of views with officials of Palli Vidyut Samiti.
