A protest rally has been held in Gaibandha demanding exemplary justice for the rape and murder of seven-year-old Ramisa in the capital’s Pallabi.
The hour-long protest rally was held in front of Ganasas Market in the city on Thursday (May 21) afternoon, organized by the Gaibandha District Branch of the Women’s Liberation Center.

The speakers condemned and demanded speedy justice for the barbaric and brutal murder of innocent child Ramisa.
They said that violence against women and children, rape, is not an isolated incident but has now become a national epidemic. The state must take responsibility for this. Due to the lack of witnesses and the culture of lack of justice in getting bail for the accused, these incidents of rape and murder are increasing.
He also demanded justice for the murder of children who died of measles across the country and ensuring treatment for affected children.
