The three-day ‘Land Service Fair 2026’ has started in Brahmanbaria to bring land-related services to the doorsteps of the common people. The fair was officially inaugurated on Tuesday (May 19) morning at the premises of the Deputy Commissioner’s office with a colorful rally, balloon release and discussion meeting. The fair was inaugurated by Brahmanbaria Deputy Commissioner Md. Abu Sayeed. Brahmanbaria District Council Administrator Sirajul Islam Siraj, Superintendent of Police Shah Md. Abdur Rouf and Deputy Director of the Local Government Department Shariful Islam were present as special guests at the time. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Mahmuda Akhter presided over the program. Before the inauguration, a colorful rally was taken out from the premises of the Deputy Commissioner’s office. Officials and employees of various government departments, students, service recipients and people from different classes and professions participated in the rally. The rally circled the important roads of the city and ended at the same place. The speakers at the event said that this fair has been organized with the aim of resolving various land-related complications, ensuring harassment-free services and providing government services to the people in a fast and easy way. For a long time, the common people had to face various difficulties in various tasks including registration, withdrawal of records, payment of land development tax, and correction of records at the land office. As a result of digital land management, these services are now becoming much easier and faster. The speakers also said that currently the government has brought land management under complete digitalization. Various services including e-registration, online registration application, and online payment of land development tax can now be received from home. As a result, the violence of brokers is reducing and the people are becoming interested in receiving government services directly. District Administrator Md. Abu Sayeed said that land-related services are an important part of people’s daily lives. The government is working relentlessly so that the common people can get services quickly without any kind of suffering. Through this fair, people will be able to learn about modern land-related services and will be motivated to receive them. At the fair, various stalls of the district administration are providing immediate information on registration applications, land development tax payment, verification of invoices, information related to mouza maps, methods of receiving online services and advice related to land law. In addition, various informative banners, festoons and digital exhibitions have been arranged to make the service recipients aware. This three-day fair will continue till May 21. People coming from different parts of the district from morning to afternoon every day will be able to participate in the fair and receive necessary information and services related to land. The organizers hope that through this fair, awareness about digital land services will further increase among the common people and transparency and accountability will be ensured in land management.
