A seminar titled ‘Campus to Career Talk-2026’ was held on Thursday (07 May) morning under the joint initiative of the Department of Political Science of North Bengal International University and Democracy Practice Center (DPC). Honorable Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Riton was present as the chief guest in the seminar. The RASIC Administrator distributed prizes among the students who won quizzes and meritorious scholarships in the seminar. At the seminar, RASIC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton was felicitated and presented a memento by Professor Dr. M. Sayedur Rahman, Vice Chancellor of North Bengal International University (NBIU).
Speaking as the chief guest at the seminar, RASIK Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton said, “Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is working tirelessly for the welfare of the people of the country. He has already started implementing various election promises in the form of the Pre-Light project. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, we want to take Bangladesh to unique heights in the world arena.”
He also said, “Rajshahi city has a great reputation as a green city, a clean city. I want to make Rajshahi city a greener, more beautiful, healthier and flowery city.”
At this time, the RASIC Administrator told the students that in the current competitive world, not only formal education, but also skills, leadership qualities and practical experience are equally important. The youth should develop themselves as skilled human resources by acquiring up-to-date knowledge.
The seminar was presided over by North Bengal International University (NBIU) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. M. Sayedur Rahman. The welcome address was delivered by NBIU Faculty of Social Sciences Dean Professor Dr. M. Maksudur Rahman. The special guest was Professor Mohammad Mahmudur Rahman, Chairman of the Department of Political Science, Rajshahi University. The guest of honor was Professor Dr. Farhat Tasnim, Professor of the Department of Political Science, RU. The closing speech was delivered by Afroza Akhtar, Head of the Department of Political Science.
NDIU Treasurer Professor Md. Ansar Uddin, teachers and students of the university, invited guests and representatives of various departments were present at the event. The new name of DPC was unveiled at the event.
