The workshop, moderated by BMU Director (Finance and Accounts) Mr. Khandaker Shafiqul Hasan Ratan, was attended by the special guests of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Md. In his speech as the chief guest, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. FM Siddiqui said, the training workshop on e-GP is a milestone in terms of transparency in the procurement system. E-GP has freed us from many troubles. We have to be more aware and attentive in procurement. As the end of the financial year approaches, we see many things being done in a hurry, which leads to more mistakes. Therefore, we have to work with importance and attention at the right time. This type of training workshop will make the procurement system more dynamic through rules.

Other speakers said that training workshops on PPA 2026, PPR 2025 and e-Government Procurement e-GP will play a role in changing the mindset in procurement. This system will play a special role in reducing corruption and irregularities and preventing wastage of government money. It will accelerate development activities. It will play a special role in establishing good governance. It will contribute to completing all procurement policies in accordance with the guidelines. They also said that when the specification is given in any procurement, it must be completely accurate, complete, realistic and suitable for dealing with future situations.
