Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) has successfully organized a training on fire safety and disaster management. On 29 April 2026, a training program was organized under the supervision of Comilla Fire Service and Defense to increase fire awareness and disaster preparedness among the officers, employees and students of this university. Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) has successfully organized a training on fire safety and disaster management. On 29 April 2026, a training program was organized under the supervision of Comilla Fire Service and Defense to increase fire awareness and disaster preparedness among the officers, employees and students of this university. The training was coordinated by Comilla Fire Service and Defense Station Officer Sharif Ahmed Kabir and Leader Habib Mohammad Samad.

In the training sessions, officers, employees, and students are trained in firefighting, fire prevention, emergency rescue, and first aid through theoretical discussions as well as practical exercises.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor and Registrar of the university, Lt. Col. Khandaker Mahmud Hossain, SPP, PSC (Retd.), was present as the chief guest at the training workshop. The Deputy Registrar (Admin) of the university, Major Syed Fazle Hossain (Retd.), was present as the special guest. All the activities and overall supervision of the training were carried out by Admin Officer Riazul Haque Sikder.
