A Milad Mahfil and annual sports competition were held at Kachite Islamia Dakhil Madrasa in Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila to mark the farewell of the 2026 Dakhil examinees.
The day-long event was organized on Wednesday (April 15) from 10 am at the madrasa premises.
This created a joyful atmosphere in the presence of the students’ parents and prominent figures from the area.
Upazila Executive Officer Sifat Mohammad Ishteyak Bhuiyan was supposed to be present as the chief guest at the event, but due to special reasons, he could not attend. Instead, Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila Youth Development Officer Muslem Uddin Ahmed participated as the chief guest. District Education Officer Mohammad Zulfikar Hossain, Principal of Bhadughar DS Kamil Madrasa Mohammad Akram Hossain, Academic Supervisor of Upazila Education Office Papia Akhter, Teacher of Brahmanbaria Science and Technology College Tufail Ahmed, Educationist Abdul Kahar Munshi and Principal of Ghatiara Alim Madrasa Maulana Abul Kalam were present as special guests.
The program was presided over by Mohammad Amir Hamza Bhuiyan, president of the management committee of Kachite Islamia Dakhil Madrasa. The program was moderated by Maulana Jasim Uddin, assistant teacher of the madrasa.
At the beginning of the program, Milad and special prayer mahfil were held to wish the entrance exam candidates success. Later, the annual sports competition began, where students participated in various events including running and jumping.
At the end of the competition, prizes were distributed among the winners.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, Muslem Uddin Ahmed said, “Good education is the foundation of human life. Students should not just acquire knowledge from textbooks, they should be educated in moral education and develop into ideal human beings.” He wished the candidates success and urged them to play a role in the development of the country in the future.
District Education Officer Mohammad Zulfikar Hossain, in his speech, advised the students to be more focused on their studies. He said, “Currently, girls are coming forward and the progress in girls’ education is quite noticeable, which is a positive aspect for the society.” However, he encouraged the boys to come forward equally, saying that boys should also come forward.
In his speech as the president of the event, Mohammad Amir Hamza Bhuiyan said that there is a plan to upgrade Kashait Islamia Dakhil Madrasa to an Alim Madrasa in the future. For this, the cooperation of the local people is needed. He further said that if the cooperation of the local people is received, including the construction of a new building, the quality of education will be improved from Dakhil to Alem Fazel. Along with this, various initiatives will be taken for the purpose of improved education. In addition, the president of the madrasa, Maulana Amir Hamza, announced a prize of two lakh taka for the first and second place students at the district level who secured the first, second and third places in the sports competition.
He further said that to ensure an improved educational environment, this institution will be transformed into a model madrasa by bringing in skilled teachers from Dhaka if necessary. All
