The reception of retired teachers, farewell of SSC examinees and welcome of new students-2026 was held in a joyful and emotional atmosphere in Durgapur, Rajshahi.

The event, organized by Durgapur Government Pilot Model High School from 10 am to 2 pm on Monday (April 13), turned the school premises festive with the presence of students, teachers, guardians, and invited guests.
The program was presided over by Upazila Executive Officer and School Management Committee President Mashtura Amina and was attended by Honorable Member of Parliament for Rajshahi-5 (Puthia-Durgapur) Professor Md. Nazrul Islam Mondal as the chief guest.
Former mayor and district BNP member Saidur Rahman Montu, Upazila BNP convener Md. Kamruzzaman Aynal, Municipal BNP convener Hasanuzzaman Laltu, Member Secretary Rezaul Karim Swapan, Upazila BNP former presidents SM Akbar Ali Bablu, Ashraful Kabir Bulu, Convener Committee member Zarjis Hossain Sohel, Municipal BNP former president Abdul Aziz Mandal and BNP leader Md. Golam Mortuza, No. 1 Nowpara Union former chairman Azad Rezaul Karim, No. 3 Pananagar Union former chairman Rabiul Islam Khan Robin, Shafiqul Islam Azam, former senior joint convener Durgapur Municipality Jubo Dal, Mainul Islam, President Durgapur Women’s Degree College and leaders of Durgapur Upazila and Municipality BNP’s organs and associate organizations were present as special guests.
Retired teachers Md. Sadequl Islam and Md. Alauddin were presented with mementos at the event. The guests present respectfully remembered their contributions to the field of education.
The guests gave directional speeches to the outgoing SSC examinees and wished them a bright future. In addition, the new students were welcomed with flowers, which was a unique and memorable experience for the new students.
The organizers said that such an event is held every year to inspire students and show respect for teachers. There was a lively atmosphere throughout the event, which left a deep impression on everyone present.
