Colorful procession celebrates Bengali New Year 1433 in Jessore

A colorful procession was held in Jessore on the occasion of Bengali New Year 1433. The procession was organized by the Jessore District Administration and with the participation of various cultural organizations of the district on Tuesday (April 14) morning. The procession started from the Town Hall Maidan of the city at around 8:45 am under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ashek Hasan. A colorful procession was held in Jessore on the occasion of Bengali New Year 1433. The procession was organized by the Jessore District Administration and with the participation of various cultural organizations of the district on Tuesday (April 14) morning.
The procession started from the Town Hall Maidan of the city at around 8:45 am under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ashek Hasan. Decorated with colorful banners, festoons and traditional decorations, the procession circled the main roads of the city.
The procession started from the Town Hall Maidan and went around Judge Court Intersection, Daratana Intersection, Chitra Intersection, Thana Crossroads, Rail Road, Ad&-Din Hospital and Mikepatti Intersection and ended at the Town Hall Maidan again.
Jessore District Police Superintendent Syed Rafiqul Islam, Jessore District Council Administrator and District BNP General Secretary Delwar Hossain Khokon, Dainik Lok Samaj Publisher Shantanu Islam Sumit, NSI Office Joint Director Abu Taher Md. Parvez, Jessore Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Masum Khan, Sammilita Sangskritik Jote Jessore District Branch President Dipankar Das Ratan and Charupith Art and Research Institute Founder Mahabub Masud Jamil along with leaders of various cultural organizations, teachers and students were present at the program. In the evening, the Press Club Auditorium organized a joyous cultural evening and sweetmeats at the Press Club Auditorium organized by the Journalists Union Jessore. The socio-political and well-wishers of Jessore participated in the program.
The procession held in a festive atmosphere was completed peacefully. The spontaneous participation of the general public in this event to welcome the Bengali New Year was remarkable.
