Inter-Hall Basketball Competition 2026 has begun at JUST with great enthusiasm. This competition has been organized by JUST’s Physical Education Department. JUST Treasurer Professor Dr. Hossain Al Mamun was present as the special guest at the inaugural ceremony.
The competition was inaugurated at JUST’s basketball court at 3:30 pm on Monday. The grand and grand event was inaugurated by the treasurer of the university, Professor Dr. Hossain Al Mamun. Students from three halls of the university – Shaheed Moshiur Rahman Hall, Munshi Meherullah Hall and Kabi Golam Mostafa Hall – will participate in this competition. The final match of the competition will be held tomorrow.
Speaking as a special guest at the inaugural ceremony, JUST Treasurer Professor Dr. Hossain Al Mamun said, UB is the only reputable university in Bangladesh that is equally proficient in research and sports. As UB is continuously advancing in research, I hope it will continue its success in sports as well.
The program was chaired by the Director of the Department of Physical Education, Professor Dr. Md. Shahedur Rahman. The convener of the Inter-Hall Basketball Competition 2026 Steering Committee, Dr. Md. Hamidur Rahman, Deputy Director of the Department of Physical Education, Md. Abdullah-Hel Kafi, also spoke at the program. Also present at the program were Munshi Meherullah Hall Provost Dr. Md. Abdur Rouf Sarkar, Assistant Director of the Department of Physical Education, Abdul Wahed, Physical Instructors Md. Shahinur Rahman, Md. Jahangir Alam, and teachers, students, officers, and employees of various departments of the university.
