Lt. Col. Md. Mahmudul Hasan has become the new director of the Fire Service

Lt. Col. Md. Mahmudul Hasan, psc, has taken charge as the Director (Operations and Maintenance) of the Fire Service and Civil Defense. He succeeds the recently departed Director (Operations and Maintenance) Lt. Col. Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury, SGP, psc. The two officers assumed charge and handed over the responsibility on 29 March 2026. Lt. Col. Md. Mahmudul Hasan, PSC was commissioned in the Infantry Corps of the Bangladesh Army. He completed his Masters in Defense Studies from Bangladesh University of Professionals. He is a graduate of Mirpur Defense Services Command and Staff College.
