Coast Guard arrests notorious deer poacher with 10.5 kg of deer meat and 8 legs in Mongla, Bagerhat. He said, based on secret information, a special operation was conducted by Coast Guard Station Harbaria in the area adjacent to Silo under Mongla Police Station, Bagerhat at 2 am on Friday, August 22, 2025. During the operation, a notorious deer hunter was arrested from the area along with 10.5 kg of deer meat and 8 legs. The seized deer meat and the arrested person were handed over to the Chandpai Forest Office for further legal action. He also said that the Coast Guard will continue such operations in the future to protect the biodiversity of the Sundarbans by preventing the killing and trafficking of wildlife.
