The Coast Guard has conducted an environmental and forest conservation workshop and public awareness program titled “Youth Festival-2025” in Nalian, Khulna.

This information was given by Coast Guard Media Officer Lft. Commander Siam-ul-Haq on the afternoon of Sunday, August 17, 2025.

He said, Bangladesh Coast Guard has been working tirelessly to protect the lives and property of the people in coastal and riverine areas, conduct rescue operations and deal with natural disasters. Besides, it is regularly conducting various public awareness activities to conserve the environment and forests, protect forest animals, and awaken patriotism among the youth and increase social responsibility.

In continuation of this, a public awareness meeting and workshop titled Youth Festival-2025 was held at the outpost premises by Coast Guard Outpost Nalian on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at 10 am with the theme “Come and change the country, change the world”.

In the said workshop, theoretical training and discussions were held on environmental and forest protection, forest animal conservation and rescue activities during disasters in the presence of students of various schools and madrasas of Nalian area, teenagers, fishermen, boatmen, professionals and the general public. Notebooks, pens, scales and pencils and other educational materials were distributed among the students present at the event.

Bangladesh Coast Guard has been organizing such workshops regularly to raise public awareness about protecting people’s lives and property, conserving the environment and forests, and dealing with disasters, and will continue to do so in the future.
