A press conference was held in Thakurgaon to inform about the collection of information, verification and identification of real beneficiaries for the implementation of the family card program.
The press conference was held at the conference room of Thakurgaon Deputy Commissioner’s office on Monday (October 12). Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rafiqul Haque was present as the chief guest.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Nazmul Haque Sumon, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Alamgir Rahman, Deputy Director of the District Social Services Office Abu Taher, Assistant Director Sayeda Sultana, officials and employees of the Upazila Social Services Office, representatives of the concerned departments and people responsible for collecting information for the family card program were also present at the time.
The press conference discussed the purpose of the family card program, the process of data collection and implementation, and the responsibilities and duties of those concerned to complete this program smoothly. Emphasis was placed on maintaining accuracy in data collection, properly verifying the collected information, and correctly identifying the real beneficiaries. In addition, the coordination and responsible role of the relevant departments in implementing the program was also discussed.
It is to be noted that the survey work to collect family card information in Thakurgaon will begin in the first phase with wards 7, 1 and 3 of Thakurgaon municipal area and wards 1, 3 and 7 of Salandar, Begun Bari and Raipur unions of Sadar Upazila.
