A preparatory meeting has been held with 127 temple committees of the Sadar and Municipality to celebrate the Sharadiya Durga Puja 2026 in Thakurgaon in a fair and peaceful manner.
The preparatory meeting was held at the council auditorium on Tuesday afternoon, organized by the upazila administration.
There, under the chairmanship of Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Khairul Islam, the trustee of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust, Manoranjan Singh, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, Shahjahan Ali, convener of the District Autumn Durga Puja Celebration Committee, Advocate Atul Prasad Roy, member secretary of the Bangladesh Puja Udjavan Parishad district branch, Advocate Jiten Kumar Pal, Sadar Upazila Ansar and VDP officials spoke at the event.
Mousumi Akhter, District Youth Alliance President Joy Mahanta Alok, Upazila Law and Order Committee member Advocate Ashikur Rahman Rizvi and others.
There, the overall situation of the puja and the problems of various temples were discussed. Along with this, with the cooperation of everyone, like other times, this time too, the autumn Durga puja will be held simultaneously in 476 Durga mandap in the district.
