A young man named Rocky (37) died of electrocution in Jhenaidah. Locals found the body of the young man lying on a grassy field.
The incident took place at around 9 am on Sunday (September 27) in Uttarpara of Bishyakhali village of Sadar upazila.
Locals said that some people from the village went to work in the field in the morning. At that time, they saw the young man named Rocky lying on a grassy field. The locals saw the young man touching the hanging electric wire stretched over the grassy field. Later, when they did not get any response from the young man, they informed the police. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and recovered the body.
Asaduzzamam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station, said that the electric wire was hanging over the grassy field. It is initially believed that the young man named Rocky was electrocuted after touching the wire. The body has been recovered and sent to the morgue of Sadar Hospital. The body of the deceased will be handed over to his relatives after the autopsy.
