S.M. Zilani, Member of Parliament for the Gopalganj-3 constituency (Tungipara-Kotalipara) and President of the Central Swechchhasebak Dal, held a discussion meeting with officials from various departments of the Kotalipara Upazila Parishad. The meeting focused on official duties, the area’s overall development, administrative activities, and various matters concerning public welfare.
The discussion took place on Saturday afternoon (September 26) in the ‘Inspection Room’ of the Kotalipara Upazila Parishad.
Attendees included Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Saif Ul Arefin, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer S.M. Shahjahan Siraj, Upazila Engineer Shafiul Azam, Women Affairs Officer Srimoyee Bagchi, and Sub-Assistant Public Health Engineer Abdur Rahman Sheikh Rehan, among others.
Officials from various Upazila departments briefed the MP on ongoing departmental activities, local issues, and development projects. Discussions were also held on ways to make public services more effective and dynamic.
MP S.M. Zilani emphasized the need to strengthen coordination among the relevant departments regarding local development activities and to simplify the process for ordinary citizens to access services. He urged the officials to work responsibly to bring government services to the doorsteps of the people.
Views were also exchanged regarding the overall development of Kotalipara Upazila, administrative operations, issues of public interest, and potential development initiatives.
