Bangladesh Women’s team will take on Pakistan in the Asian Games bronze-medal match tomorrow (Tuesday) at Korogi Sports Park in Nagoya, Japan.
The match will begin at 6 AM, Bangladesh time.
Bangladesh missed the opportunity to compete for their first-ever Asian Games gold medal after suffering a heavy 114-run defeat to India in the semifinal. Pakistan also fell short in their semifinal, losing to Sri Lanka by eight wickets.
Pakistan have dominated the head-to-head record, winning 16 of their 20 meetings with Bangladesh. Bangladesh have won only four times, but one of those victories came in their most recent encounter, when they defeated Pakistan by 23 runs in the Asia Cup earlier this month.
Emboldened by that recent success, Bangladesh will look to secure another Asian Games medal and add to their collection of three medals. They previously won silver medals at the 2010 Guangzhou and 2014 Incheon Games, followed by a bronze medal at the 2022 Hangzhou Games.
